I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle. Growing up in England I ran cross country in high school, swam for a local team and rode my bicycle everywhere as a means of transportation!
I have been teaching group fitness classes since 1996 including spinning, kickboxing, step and aqua aerobics. I also participated in several long distance charity bike rides. In 2003 I signed up for my first season of Team in Training, to run the Disney marathon. It was love at first run! I loved the schedule.. the challenge.. but most of all I loved the amazing people I met. The coaches and the other partipants. I have stayed friends and training partners with many of them to this day!
It was a natural progression for me to start doing some triathlons. People often ask me if I prefer cycling or running and I like them both just about equally. I love to get away on my bike but running gives you a high that nothing else can. Currently I have completed 13 full marathons, 4 x 50K's, 5 half ironman events and numerous half marathon, olympic distance triathlons and charity bike rides.
My next big adventure will be the Virgin London Marathon, Apil 21, 2013.
